“Walk” is the second single
from the album “Wasting Light” by Foo Fighters. This record is all about second
chances and going back to your roots. I think this song in particular talks a
lot about the history of this band, how they felt about what they were doing and
where they want to go from now on.
I choose this song because it represents the innumerable times that I got things wrong and
had to start all over again. I know how difficult is to overcome some
situations, but it doesn’t matter how horrible the problem is, how lost you
think you are or how hard is to get back on track, you always need to have the
will to keep on fighting and searching for what you want for your life. Sometimes
you just need to start from scratch and learn how to walk again, that way you
will be able to look at your life and see what went wrong and try not to repeat
those mistakes. But then again, that's just my personal interpretation of this song.
The music video
(inspired by the classic movie “Falling Down”) tries to satirize and criticize
our selfish society that constantly pushes us to our limits. The clip
shows a man (played by Dave Grohl) who decides to get out of his car so he can walk down the street where he proceeds to hilariously let his anger out on a
number of characters that get on his way (all played by members of the band)
I hope you enjoy it and let me know what's your interpretation of this song!
