           You're not Vincent Price,

                       You're Vincent Malloy

Vincent is a 1982 short story, writted and directed by Tim Burton and produced by Rick Heinrichs. Is narrated by actor Vincent Price, a famous actor of horror films and inspiration of Tim Burton. It’s a first film from Tim Burton, he used stop motion techniques; that consist  to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own.

In this story, Tim Burton talks about Vincent Malloy (very similar to Tim Burton appearance) a young and nice boy, who is obsessed with Vincent Price and Edgar Allan Poe. This film shows two realitys of Vicent Malloy; ‘’a nice and considerate boy, with a normal family and calm life’’, but in his mind, ‘’a dark and mysterious boy, with vampires, spider, and horrors’’. Also Vincent represents a contrast of reality/ fantasy; Vincent create a life fantasy in his mind, an example is when he sometimes think ''his beautiful wife had been buried alive '', or his dog is converted in a ''zombie-dog'',''he invented experiments'' and he '' imagines dipping her in wax for his wax museum.
Another example is the moment when  Vincent Malloy went crazy and he doesn’t differentiate his real life ( with his family in a normal house), and fantasy life ( with vampires, die wife, horrors and experiment ). But all interpretation talks about the power of the mind, and the ability to create a fictitious world, with dreams and delusions of what we want to be or become.
The message is ‘Be Yourself’, you can have something or someone that inspire you, but don’t confused reality with illusion or your dreams, the result can be disastrous... What is your interpretation, for this story?

‘’… and my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted, Never more..’’

Suitcase.-

Suitcase is the third song of the album "Violent Waves" , by Circa Survive. This is one of my favorite songs, it has a powerful rhythm and a soft atmosphere.

I think that the meaning of the song is that "the dogs" are we, because we are animals, that make irrational actions, and only to satisfy ourselves. And the girl following her boyfriend in the suitcase, she is trying to stay with him, no matter what happens.
( "I'm buried in your glow
Will you take me with you when you go?")

In that moment, she finally see who really is him, and this changes their opinion of him. She tries to do the actions that likes him, overtaking her sadness and anger.

("Will you take me with you when you go?
I've been following your eyes
Dismantle my disguise")

Mostly, this song talks about cheating, and forgiveness no matter what.

Is that true than we are so selfish that do not think in (boy/girl)friend's feelings?
 Can you forgive him?

One day maybe we'll meet again

“I will never forget. I will never regret. I will live my life”, lyrics to keep in mind while listening to this song. That’s the meaning behind “Closer to the edge” from the album This is War, by the American band Thirty Seconds to Mars; every time you don’t forget or regret a decision, either good or bad, it brings you closer to the edge - living your life to the fullest.
To me, it’s about never regretting or forgetting your actions, because if you do, you are not really living, because these are the things that made you who you are, and when looking back at them we have to learn from them and try to make ourselves better.
The purpose behind the video of the song is to show the community that the followers of 30STM have formed during the years: A Family, as they call it, which gave a sense of belonging for people all over the world; hence the clips from different concerts at different countries, and the people sharing stories at how this band and music has saved them. Because we all want to feel like we belong to something, don’t we? And these three men gave an answer to so many of us. And you can see it in their eyes; in the way they sing along, the way they raise their arms, the force behind the screams, the look on their faces as they tell their stories. The faith they have in music.
I think what I like the most is that they included the voices of thousands of people into their songs; It gives them a special energy, a strong power that gives me chills, like I’m a part of it all too. Maybe some people don’t understand how someone can be so infatuated with a band, but as they say, “It’s only for people who understand”.

"Sometimes you gotta run before you can walk"

“Walk” is the second single from the album “Wasting Light” by Foo Fighters. This record is all about second chances and going back to your roots. I think this song in particular talks a lot about the history of this band, how they felt about what they were doing and where they want to go from now on.

I choose this song because it represents the innumerable times that I got things wrong and had to start all over again. I know how difficult is to overcome some situations, but it doesn’t matter how horrible the problem is, how lost you think you are or how hard is to get back on track, you always need to have the will to keep on fighting and searching for what you want for your life. Sometimes you just need to start from scratch and learn how to walk again, that way you will be able to look at your life and see what went wrong and try not to repeat those mistakes. But then again, that's just my personal interpretation of this song.

The music video (inspired by the classic movie “Falling Down”) tries to satirize and criticize our selfish society that constantly pushes us to our limits. The clip shows a man (played by Dave Grohl) who decides to get out of his car so he can walk down the street where he proceeds to hilariously let his anger out on a number of characters that get on his way (all played by members of the band)

I hope you enjoy it and let me know what's your interpretation of this song!

"I can feel their blue hands touching me"

Street Spirit (Fade Out) is the final track of The Bends, the second studio album from the English band, Radiohead. I chose this video because it transmits the meaning of its song in an artistic way. The black and white effects, the falls, the sadness, everything. But more than a meaning, it transmits a huge emotion that everybody runs away from: pain. Even when you’re feeling okay, if you listen to this song carefully and get into it, its –let’s call it- “black magic” will involve you completely. Each note, chord and word complements with everything in this song, giving you the chance to enter to this weak bubble that will provide you a full emotional experience.

I won’t give you the meaning or message of this song, because if I do, I'd be destroying your interpretation of it, and that’s not what I want. But here’s what Thom Yorke, lead singer of the band, says about the song:
‘Street Spirit’ is our purest song, but I didn’t write it…. It wrote itself. We were just its messengers (…) It is the dark tunnel without the light at the end. It represents all tragic emotion that is so hurtful that the sound of that melody is its only definition. (…) Our fans are braver than I to let that song penetrate them, or maybe they don’t realize what they’re listening to. They don’t realize that ‘Street Spirit’ is about staring the fucking devil right in the eyes… and knowing, no matter what the hell you do, he’ll get the last laugh…and it’s real…and true…
People need to let their emotions out once in a while, it is healthy. Now you can listen to Street Spirit (Fade Out) down here. Enjoy it and tell me what you think about it!

PS: I recommend you to use headphones.
